Configure sending

Before you start

Use an API key created by a current workspace owner or admin. Configuration changes require domain:manage. Read-only setup checks accept domain:read.

Older email:send keys can read configuration for compatibility, but they cannot change it.

Safe setup sequence

   Add the domain

   Create one domain and keep the returned ID.

   Read the DNS records

   Publish every record exactly as returned. Do not create duplicates.

   Check verification

   Call verify after DNS propagation. Repeat only at a reasonable interval while status is waiting_for_dns.

   Create a Sending Address

   Use an address on the verified domain. The first active address becomes the workspace default automatically.

5. 5

   Send the first email

   Use the Sending Address in POST /api/v1/emails.
